Mibet's Custom Mounting for Dexin Steel's 66MW Rooftop Solar

Dexin Steel's 66MW Rooftop Solar

Project Introduction:
Dexin Steel Indonesia recently completed a significant 66MW rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) installation at its facilities in the Qingshan Industrial Park, Morowali, Indonesia. Mibet, a specialist in solar mounting solutions, was selected to supply a customized clamping system critical to the project's success, involving the outfitting of five extensive workshop roofs.

Mibet's Customised Solution & Supply:
The project encompassed five large factory rooftops, including three standing seam and two trapezoidal metal roofs, with a total surface area exceeding 400,000 square meters.

To address the variations in roof types and dimensions, Mibet's team collaborated closely with the project installers to conduct on-site surveys and gather precise roof data. Based on this detailed analysis, Mibet engineered and supplied:

● Over 500,000 sets of metal rooftop solar clamps and associated accessories.
● Tailored clamping solutions for both standing seam and trapezoidal roof profiles.
● A custom-designed fixed mounting bracket specifically for one of the trapezoidal roofs to ensure optimal fit and structural integrity.

Project Impact & Significance:
Once operational, the 66MW rooftop PV system is projected to generate an average of 100 million kWh of electricity annually during its initial 15 years. This substantial renewable energy output will enable Dexin Steel to:

● Reduce its annual consumption of standard coal by over 30,000 tons.
● Decrease its carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 100,000 tons per year.
● Significantly lower its electricity procurement costs and alleviate associated operational pressures.
